Just a few questions:
ReplyDelete1) In the USA I have heard researchers say that nearly all child porn is owned by the US government (FBI?)and all sites in the US are "entrapment." In other words, without the gov't involvement there would be no child porn. Any truth to this claim?
2) It seems as though there is no marketing of child porn in the US and rarely have I heard of any production. Most of the charges stem out of photos of children in a bath tub or the like. Any comments?
3) I wonder to what extend the police use these charges as a "proxy" charge-- i.e., since we have no proof of actual sex crimes, we'll use this as a substitute charge. It seems to me that the length of prison sentences are wildly too much. Is this hysteria at work?
Hi Bobby, thanks for commenting. Let me answer your questions 1 by 1.
ReplyDelete1) No this is 100% untrue
2)Well, some of child pornography might be children in bathtubs, but when a man or a women has a collection of thousands of other people's children in bathtubs, I find it very unhealthy. Plus a lot of this imagery is very physical sexual abuse.
3)This is an actual sex crime. What would you consider an actual sex crime? Raping a child?

I have heard it said there are FBI agents who have view 100,000's of images without doing them any harm. However, if a "bad" person views these same images somehow great harm is being done merely by viewing them. Somehow there's some sort of vodoo argument at work here; hence, the "Spirit Possession" argument: merely by looking at an image I am harming another person. Please note: Almost all images are many years old and the many times the images are computer-generated and thus there's no actual human...
